Enrolment

Marryatville Primary School is a zoned school, with a designated zone area from which we accept our core intake of students, from Reception to Year 6. The school follows the Department for Education Schools and Preschools Enrolment Policy.

We welcome enquiries for Reception (including mid-year entry) and Years 1 to 6 enrolment throughout the year.

Marryatville Primary School is able to consider enrolment applications from families residing outside of the school zone, provided there are available spaces.

For additional information, please refer to the Department for Education – Find a School Zone tool to check if your address is within our zone.

We follow the Department for Education School and Preschool Enrolment Policy in all enrolment matters.

Registration of Interest for Enrolment

In order to begin the process of enrolment, we require families to complete the following form:
Registration of Interest Form

All applications for Years 1 to 6 will be assessed at the time of submission, and families will be contacted. Enrolment forms will only be issued once a placement has been confirmed by the Principal. Details for Reception enrolments are included below.

Registrations for students enrolling for Reception:

We welcome Reception enrolments for both January and mid-year starters. For children starting in January, applications are generally accepted from the preceding year, with placements confirmed before the end of Term 4.

If your child is turning five between 1 May and 31 October, they are eligible for mid-year intake that year, and enrolments should be submitted by early Term 1 for a start in Term 3.

Once your application is received, our team will contact you to confirm enrolment, arrange a transition visit, and provide further information about starting school. If you need assistance or further guidance, please contact our front office.

Please note that Marryatville Primary School cannot guarantee any Reception enrolment applications before this process is complete.

Adequate Proof of Residency

Please provide adequate proof with your registration of interest, including the following:

  • Child’s proof of identification (Birth Certificate or Passport)
  • A recent gas / electricity bill
  • Visa documentation (if applicable)
  • Proof of address in the school zone:
    • RENTAL – Current rental agreement AND bond receipt, issued by the Consumer and Business Services.
    • OWNER – Contract of sale or council rates notice

These documents, with the completed Registration of Interest form, are an application for your child to be placed on our school Enrolment Register. All applications will be assessed and families will be contacted once an appropriate vacancy becomes available for your child.

School Tours

Tours are held each term, usually in the final few weeks of each term. Please contact the school for dates.
