Parents and Friends
The Marryatville Primary School Parents and Friends Committee (P&F) is a subcommittee of the Governing Council, established in 2025 in response to a strong desire among parents to play a more active and supportive role in the life of the school. MPS enjoys a vibrant and welcoming school culture and the P&F committee brings a little structure and continuity to support this culture — helping to strengthen the sense of belonging and connection that is so important for young people. The Parents and Friends Committee supports and oversees the Parent Representative framework, which fosters community at the classroom and year group level, and also coordinates fundraising and events to support the school and its students.
The MPS P&F is an inclusive group and encourages all members of our child carer community to participate either on the committee or through supporting and attending school events and initiatives. The group and roles are formalised at the beginning of each school year following an invitation to all carers to join.
