Marryatville Primary School values and aligns with the South Australian strategy for public education, with student wellbeing at the core of what we do. Wellbeing and positive education are important additions to our learning at MPS and are highly valued within our community. We have a multi-faceted approach to student wellbeing, with Martin Seligman’s PERMA+ Model, VIA character strengths, Positive Education, and the Friendology program forming the basis of our wellbeing strategies. Our staff use, model, and teach each of these, encouraging and supporting students to build their own PERMA+ and live a flourishing life. Students and staff at MPS build their PERMA through experiencing positive emotions, engagement, positive relationships, meaning and purpose, and a sense of achievement in our school.
